City of Hamtramck issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.
The City of Hamtramck and Hamtramck Public Schools have partnered to develop a plan for the Veterans Memorial Park area. This District includes Keyworth Stadium, where the Detroit City FC now plays, and the Historic Hamtramck Stadium, which was once home to the Negro National League Detroit Stars. For the last year, community members, business owners and nonprofit leaders have been sharing their ideas for the Hamtramck Recreation District Plan. We want to thank everyone who helped shape the plan and reveal it to the community. Please join us on January 31st for a community dinner where TEN x TEN will present the Plan!
