CITY OF GROSSE POINTE FARMS: Parks & Recreation Update In Regards To COVID-19

City of Grosse Pointe Farms issued the following announcement on March 27

We want to keep everyone up to date as quickly as we can. With the Governor's Orders to "Stay Home, Stay Safe" we have made the following changes and they will begin tomorrow, March 24 and remain in effect til April 13th or until further notice.

Pier Park:

The Park will remain open 7 days a week with reduced hours of 10:00am-6:00pm. We encourage our residents to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air while practicing social distancing at all times. Pier Park will only be open to walkers or fishermen so long as you are practicing social distancing and remaining 6 ft away from others.

The following Pier Park Amenities will be closed:

The Community Building

Platform Tennis Courts and Tennis Courts.

The Warming Building

All Playgrounds

Restrooms

Kerby Field:

Playground Closed

Dog Park:

The Dog Park will be closed beginning on March 24th until April 13th or until further notice.

We will continue to update you as things change and we encourage all residents to listen to the Governor's instructions and hopefully by doing so we will be able to get back to our normal lives quicker while keeping our residents safe.
