City of Hamtramck issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
Starting today (Wednesday, 8/19/2020), the finishing touches are being put on the infield at Hamtramck Stadium. Then the outfield will be seeded and watered.
We ask that everyone please stay out of the Hamtramck Stadium area, including both infield and outfield, for one month (until September 19) to allow work to be completed and the new grass to become established without being trampled.
After September 19, the field will be open again for baseball, softball, soccer, etc.
