City of Dearborn recently issued the following announcement.

Description: Disney's The Lion King KIDS is the tale of Simba, a young lion prince who just can't wait to be king of the African Pride Lands. He goes on a journey as he comes of age and fights a formidable enemy to fulfill his destiny to be king and restore joy to all the animals. The African Savannah comes to life on stage with an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle....and back again, in this inspiring tale. The vibrant show brings traditional African styles and rhythms to life. The importance of family, friendship, and courage are explored with humor and emotion in this entertaining and electrifying musical. Performances will take place on August 20 at 6 p.m. and August 21 at 4 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
