Wayne County Public Schools issued the following announcement on April 25.
Over the past two days, several important announcements have left Raleigh regarding public education. Yesterday, the State Board of Education approved policy updates regarding final qualifications for K-11. students.
This afternoon, North Carolina Governor Cooper announced that remote learning would continue for the rest of the academic year. This means that while buildings will remain closed, teaching and learning will continue.
We appreciate all our families who work with their children and help them stay connected with their virtual classrooms and remote learning and / or keep up with their learning resources printed during this time.
