Two Grosse Pointe public education employees earn two or more annually

There are two Grosse Pointe public education employees who earn $100,000 or more annually, according to the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.

The highest annual salary earned among Grosse Pointe public education employees was $217,941 to Gary Niehaus.

The highest salary was $213,700 in 2020.

According to records, three individuals received some form of compensation for their work from Grosse Pointe in 2021. Of those, no earned less than $20,000.

More than one-third of Michigan residents said they believe school quality has worsened in recent years, and two-thirds say schools need more funding.
