Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) is switching to a new mobile ticketing app called Token Transit! DDOT will no longer be using the
Passport app after February 28th.
The new app will provide mobile passes for both DDOT and SMART. Seven-day and 31-day passes will only be available through Token Transit, but
riders can still buy 24-hour and 4-hour passes on either the Dart app or Token Transit.
Make sure to download the Token Transit app and create an account before March 1st to avoid delays while boarding. Any previous unused passes
in a rider’s Passport wallet will be transferred to Token Transit by March 1.
"The new app is just one of the many technology upgrades DDOT has implemented recently and will implement in the coming years, including electric
coaches, wi-fi, and more," said DDOT’s Executive Director of Transit Mikel Oglesby.
DDOT and SMART riders can receive technical support at www.tokentransit.com/sl/how-to-ride-video via the “Help” section in the app’s settings --
The FAQ section at support.tokentransit.com --
Or by texting (415) 918-6628 or calling (415) 918-6536.
